About

Carousel London is a stylish three floor permanent pop up space in Marylebone hosting guest chef residencies, foodie events and other extraordinary pop up happenings.

The people behind are Shuttlecock Inc.; four cousins from the creative Templeton family: Ollie, Anna, Will and Ed.

Carousel London first opened its doors in August 2014 and has since been guest chef residency to a unique and varied line-up of world-renowned chefs cooking by turns changing every 1-2 weeks.

We totally love the Carousel concept and we couldn’t be more grateful to Ollie, Anna, Will and Ed for trusting and sharing their amazing pop up space with us.

During our one week guest residence we served a 5 courses menu based on Nikkei flavors (Peruvian-Japanese) to which we had put together an optional sake paring menu made on a selection of some Akashi Tai’s best and most interesting sakes.

And for the aperitif, Andreas Tsanos, our good friend and excellent bartender, had helped us to create a refreshing palate opening cocktail with orange blossom, lemon, vodka and white vermouth.

Thanks to all you lovelies who joined us during our time at the Carousel.

Menu

  •  Shellfish and seaweed Chilcano soup with mussels and chalaca sauce
  •  Scallop and cucumber tiradito with yuzu “leche de tigre”
  •  Maki causa with avocado, ceviche mayonnaise and aburi salmon
  •  Teriyaki braised pancetta with Jerusalem artichoke and sautéed pak choi
  •  Citrus fruit ceviche with lychees sorbet, yoghurt-lime sponge and black sesame
